Eaton Primary School

“We challenge ourselves.”

I will be producing a short promotional video which demonstrates the educational services that Eaton Primary School provides its students.

For this project, my main aim is to make a stylish, informative video about the education and services that Eaton Primary School offer to their students. The video will be around 5 or 6 minutes long and will feature both the students and the teachers. The product will be aimed at outlining what the children do on a day to day basis, and will bring to light the school’s unique way of what they call ‘challenging’ the students. It will include pieces from the current students and the teachers who work there, so as to show both sides of the learning process and the benefits that it provides.

The video will be targeted at the parents of current and potential students of the school, as well as current and potential students. The video will show them the kind of benefits that their children will get over any other schools, and the students will hopefully view the video and be inspired to attend the school. I hope to create a stylish but simple video, with a medium to slow pace so it’ll be easy to follow for both parents and students. The tone of the piece will be quite light and happy, something that can be enjoyed by a wide audience. In terms of production, I will be the one who will be filming and editing the video, with a small chance of employing another person to help with the shoots. I’ll also be attending the school on the days to film that have been agreed by myself and the head teacher.

As a producer, I am very good at managing my time and making sure that I complete the work that is needed to a high standard. I have a big attention to detail and I’m good at making sure that things are running smoothly, for example when it comes to filming and continuity. I have a creative vision and can come up with new ideas quickly, so this will help me to contribute and I like to make sure that I always know exactly what I’m doing. I’m efficient with camera equipment, and know how to set up filming equipment quickly and effectively. I also feel I’m a sufficient editor, and have an extensive knowledge of editing software and techniques. Overall, I am confident that I can produce a high quality video in the required timeframe.
